Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament's Health Committee and MP for Obuasi East, Patrick Boakye-Yiadom, was seen participating in a weeding exercise at the Afari Military Hospital during a committee visit to the facility.
The visit formed part of efforts by the Health Committee to assess the current state of the 500-bed hospital and advocate for its completion and operationalisation.
The sight of portions of the hospital grounds overtaken by weeds has intensified discussions about the need to bring the facility into service to support healthcare delivery.
