Former Assemblyman of the Ga South Municipality, Zakari Ali, is calling for stronger law enforcement against individuals who have constructed buildings in watercourses, thereby obstructing the free flow of water.
He says strict enforcement of existing regulations is necessary to prevent recurring flooding incidents and to protect lives, homes, and property in affected communities.
His remarks come amid growing concerns over flooding in parts of the municipality following heavy rains.
