Journalist exchange programs should work both ways, says Bahrain communication chief

Speaking at the 5th China Media Group Forum in Chongqing, Islam Abduljabbar, director general of the Global Communication Office at Bahrain's National Communication Center, stressed the importance of genuine partnerships, technology transfer and bidirectional journalist exchange programs. She said countries of the Global South should be co-architects of global communication, not just recipients. #CMGForum2026
