We don't care anymore!” President John Dramani Mahama has attributed the persistent flooding in parts of Ghana to indiscriminate waste disposal and poor environmental practices. Speaking on his return to Ghana, the President praised Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang for visiting flood-affected communities and sites of recent building collapses. He stressed that plastics, food packaging materials, and Styrofoam discarded into drains have blocked both open and underground drainage systems, worsening the impact of heavy rains. Mahama called for greater public responsibility and a renewed commitment to environmental cleanliness to help address the country's flooding challenges.
