NASA unveils Artemis III astronauts

NASA revealed the crew of the Artemis III mission two months after Artemis II's historic trip around the moon. The missions are the next step for the space agency's plan to return astronauts to the moon by 2028.

NASA's Randy Bresnik, Frank Rubio, Andre Douglas, and the European Space Agency's Luca Parmitano will be on the space mission. Their task will involve orbiting Earth while practicing docking their Orion capsule with two lunar landers.

Private companies are trying to join the U.S. mission to the moon, with Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin racing to deliver lunar landers.

Blue Origin faced a major setback after a massive rocket exploded during a test on a launch pad in Florida. However, NASA said it was still confident in the company.
