The suspended Chief Executive of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr. Paa Kwesi Baidoo, has appealed to striking staff to return to work and prioritize patient care while discussions over their concerns continue at the national level.
His appeal comes at a time when healthcare delivery at one of Ghana's largest referral hospitals has been significantly disrupted, leaving many patients struggling to access essential medical services.
In a statement issued from the Office of the Chief Executive, Dr. Baidoo thanked staff for their solidarity during the industrial action but emphasized the need to place the welfare of patients and the broader national interest above all else.
