Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, has assured waste management service providers that government is actively addressing concerns over delayed payments.

Speaking at a stakeholders' dialogue on final disposal site operations and sustainable solid waste management in Accra, he acknowledged the concerns raised by service providers and assured them the matter is being given urgent attention.

He emphasized that waste management companies remain key partners in Ghana's sanitation agenda, noting their critical role in supporting national development.

The Minister further pledged continued engagement with stakeholders to develop sustainable financing solutions to improve sanitation infrastructure and waste management operations across the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area.
