The Municipal Chief Executive for the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, Alfred Ato Allotey-Gaisie, has clarified that the owners of the over 50-year-old building near XYZ Broadcasting in Osu agreed to its demolition.
Speaking to journalists, he explained that the Assembly follows due process in such operations, including issuing repeated warnings and obtaining court orders before carrying out demolitions.
He added that the exercise forms part of efforts to ensure public safety and prevent potential structural hazards associated with ageing buildings.
