President of the KATH Doctors Association, Dr. Michael Leat, says members were close to reaching a resolution following meetings with the Ashanti Regional Minister.
However, he explains that a statement issued by the Ministry of Health during the discussions angered members, leading to an abrupt walkout and stalled negotiations. Dr. Leat adds that the association's leadership will continue engaging members to build consensus on the way forward, as efforts continue to resolve the ongoing industrial action at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
