Board Chair of the National Media Commission, Prof. Akua Biritwum, has called for a review of Ghana's media financing model.
Speaking at the Ghana Journalists Association World Press Freedom Day 2026 Honours Night, she warned that current funding structures may be contributing to unethical practices within the media space. She emphasized the need for sustainable and independent financing systems to strengthen professionalism, credibility, and press freedom in Ghana.
