More than 600 Ghanaian nationals have returned home in the second batch of evacuees from South Africa amid rising xenophobic attacks and anti-immigrant tensions.
The returnees form part of over 1,500 Ghanaians who voluntarily opted for repatriation for safety and security reasons.
Government officials say about 200 jobs have already been secured to support the reintegration of some of the returnees into the local economy.
Authorities continue to coordinate further support measures as additional evacuees are expected to arrive in subsequent batches.
