Chinese delivery guy saves stranded dog from drowning

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear helmets and carry hot meals.

When a food delivery driver in Chengdu, China, heard desperate barking coming from a canal, he grabbed a rope and refused to give up on a stranded dog.

What followed was a beautiful chain reaction of human kindness. When the rope didn't work, he climbed over the railing. When the dog was too heavy to lift alone, a woman climbed over to help him. When they needed leverage from the other side, a policeman and passers-by stepped in to lift the dog and guide it to safety.

Eventually, the dog was safely rescued and reunited with dry land.

From the first throw of the rope to the final lift over the railing, this was a team effort between total strangers, and proof that compassion doesn't need a plan, just people willing to show up.
