Okaikwei North Assembly & NADMO Desilt Christian Village Bridge After Flooding 🌧️🚜

The Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with NADMO, has commenced a desilting exercise at the Christian Village bridge to address persistent flooding in the area.

The intervention follows several flooding incidents that caused the bridge to overflow, sending water into nearby homes and disrupting the lives of residents.

Channel One News' Samuel Ackom visited the site and spoke with Okaikwei North NADMO Director Anthony Dzikunu about the ongoing works and efforts to reduce the risk of future flooding.

Authorities say the exercise forms part of broader measures to improve drainage systems and protect lives and property during the rainy season.
