BREAKING! 200 jobs secured for Ghanaian evacuees from SA 🇬🇭✈️ | Ibrahim Mahama offered 100 - Ablakwa

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced that about 200 job opportunities have already been secured for Ghanaian evacuees returning from South Africa following xenophobic attacks.

Speaking at the Accra International Airport, he revealed that leading Ghanaian companies have stepped forward to support the reintegration of the returnees, including Engineers & Planners, which alone has offered 100 jobs through Mr Ibrahim Mahama.

He also mentioned that AT Ghana and Telecel are among other companies providing employment opportunities as part of efforts to help evacuees rebuild their lives after returning home.

The evacuees were repatriated following rising xenophobic tensions and anti-migrant violence in South Africa affecting African nationals, including Ghanaians.

Government officials say further support, including psychosocial care, relief items, and reintegration assistance, will continue as part of the national response.
