Ministers Welcome Ghanaian Evacuees 🇬🇭✈️ | Ablakwa & Health Minister Lead Airport Reception
Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh have led a high-level government delegation to the Accra International Airport to welcome the second batch of Ghanaian evacuees returning from South Africa.
The evacuees are arriving following coordinated government efforts in response to xenophobic attacks and anti-migrant protests targeting African nationals in South Africa.
Upon arrival, the returnees are expected to receive medical screening, relief items, and reintegration support as part of government's emergency response package.
Officials say the evacuation exercise is being coordinated through Ghana's diplomatic mission in South Africa in collaboration with relevant state agencies to ensure the safe return and welfare of affected citizens.
