Why NADMO's involved in Ghana’s South Africa evacuation exercise 🇬🇭✈️ |Xenophobia response explained
Deputy Director-General of NADMO, Albert Akuka Alalzuuga, has explained the organisation's role in Ghana's evacuation efforts for citizens returning from South Africa following xenophobic attacks and anti-migrant protests.
Speaking in an interview with Channel One News, he outlined why NADMO is directly involved in supporting the repatriation process, including coordination and emergency response measures for returning nationals.
The evacuation forms part of a broader government intervention to ensure the safety and welfare of Ghanaians affected by rising tensions and violence targeting foreign nationals in South Africa.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as more evacuees are expected to arrive in Ghana.
