Local Government Minister Ahmed Ibrahim has urged the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to ensure effective use of its sanitation allocation to maintain cleanliness in the city.

He made the call after leading a national sanitation exercise in the metropolis, which recorded strong participation from residents and stakeholders.

The Minister stressed the importance of accountability and proper resource utilisation in tackling waste management challenges across urban areas.

He added that sustained sanitation efforts are key to improving public health and environmental conditions in the region.
