Spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Denis Miracles Aboagye, has accused the NDC of distorting the LGBTQ+ debate for political advantage.

Speaking on Channel One TV's Big Issue with Umaru Sanda Amadu, he alleged that Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, and some NDC members are attempting to deflect attention from the core issues surrounding the debate.

He further argued that the opposition has previously used the LGBTQ+ issue as political propaganda, insisting that no member of the NPP is against the bill.

The comments add to ongoing political tensions surrounding discussions on the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.
