As part of activities marking its 41st anniversary, Victory Bible Church International has organised a blood donation exercise to support Ghana's blood banks and help address recurring shortages in hospitals.
The exercise brought together hundreds of church members across the Greater Accra Region, highlighting the growing role of faith-based organisations in supporting national health needs.
The Head of the Medical Team of Victory Bible Church International and a Family Medicine Physician at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Rev. Dr. Ernest Anim-Opare, said the initiative responds directly to a critical national demand for safe blood supply.
He also dismissed misconceptions that blood donation negatively affects health, stressing that regular donation is safe and essential for saving lives during emergencies.
