Historian Timothy Snyder says it's up to Americans to oppose his moves. “He's trying to create the impression that he's inevitable, that there's no choice besides him. It's up to us to create … general, better, different, more attractive ideas of what the 250th anniversary of our country means, and what the future of our country could be.”
