'Your polls caused this!' - Andy Kankam 'fights' Mussa Dankwah over ministerial 'fights'
Managing Editor of The Informer newspaper, Andy Kankam, has suggested that independent polls projecting potential NDC flagbearer contenders are contributing to growing tensions within government.
Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News, Kankam argued that repeated surveys naming different ministers and party officials as frontrunners are creating confusion and influencing political positioning among government appointees.
His comments come amid a public disagreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture over the release of budgetary allocations.
While the Finance Ministry insists it has released more than GH¢1.6 billion to the Agriculture Ministry, the Agriculture Ministry disputes the figures, saying they do not align with official budget execution records.
Kankam believes such disputes are being amplified by internal political calculations ahead of the NDC's future flagbearer race.
