Co-sponsor of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025, Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli has declared that same-sex marriage will not be permitted in Ghana.
Speaking at the 4th Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family, Sovereignty and Values in Accra, the Gushegu MP maintained that Ghana remains committed to upholding its cultural and family values.
He insisted that same-sex marriage has no place in the country, reinforcing ongoing legislative and public debates surrounding the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.
The remarks add to broader discussions among African lawmakers on sovereignty, culture, and evolving global human rights frameworks.
