Sen. Blumenthal predicts 'tumultuous' confirmation for Blanche
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-C.T., tells Ali Vitali acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has "degraded" the Department of Justice. Blumenthal, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, says Blanche will have a difficult confirmation process given the DOJ's decision to grant the Trump family immunity from current and pending IRS audits. "He has shown he's going to be Donald Trump's lawyer, not the peoples' lawyer," Blumenthal says, predicting multiple GOP senators might defy Trump over the confirmation.
