AI-powered rangers join China's environmental protection front lines #coolchina

On World Environment Day, China unveils the next generation of eco protectors: robots, drones, AI-powered platforms and smart sensors.

The new class of "super monitors" includes robot dogs handling field sampling as well as unmanned aircraft scanning mangrove forests in minutesalong Wenzhou's river estuary.

In Heilongjiang's forests, AI systems help manage wildlife encounters and improve safety, while Hangzhou has gained a fully automated lights-out water testing lab.
