Godwin Larho Dela, Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in Kumasi, has warned that indiscriminate dumping of waste into major drains could undermine ongoing efforts to reduce flooding in the Ashanti Region.
He cautioned that individuals who flout sanitation regulations by dumping refuse into drains risk arrest and prosecution, stressing the need for collective responsibility in keeping waterways clear, especially during the rainy season.
