Tax analyst Francis Timore Boi has cautioned against any actions that could undermine South African business interests in Ghana amid rising tensions over recent xenophobic attacks on Ghanaian nationals and their businesses in South Africa.

His comments come amid growing public concern over the treatment of foreign-owned businesses in South Africa and increasing calls for possible retaliatory measures.

Speaking to Channel One Business, he ruled out reprisal actions against South African companies operating in Ghana, urging restraint and a focus on maintaining stable economic relations between the two countries.

The remarks add to ongoing discussions on how Ghana should respond to reported xenophobic incidents while safeguarding bilateral trade and investment ties.
