The price of last night's downpour is still being counted in Ga East, where torrential rains flooded homes across Agbogba, Ashongman, Pantang, and Abokobi.
The heavy rains left several homes submerged and caused gridlock that lasted well past midnight, disrupting movement and daily life in the affected communities.
Residents are blaming the flooding on buildings constructed on waterways as well as choked and inadequate drainage systems, calling on authorities to implement lasting solutions to prevent recurring disasters during heavy rains.
