The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025—commonly referred to as the anti-LGBTQ+ Bill—is transmitted to President John Dramani Mahama for assent.
He made the remarks during the 4th Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family, Values and Sovereignty, stressing that the legislative process must be completed to its final stage.
According to him, the bill remains a priority and efforts will continue to ensure it reaches the President for consideration in line with parliamentary procedures.
The development comes amid ongoing national and international debate surrounding the bill and its implications for human rights and social values.
