The Interior Minister, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, together with the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has visited the Accra Central Police Annex following a fire outbreak recorded during Wednesday night's heavy downpour.
The visit formed part of efforts to assess the extent of damage caused by the fire and review emergency response measures at the facility.
Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the cause of the incident and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
The inspection highlights growing concerns about infrastructure resilience during extreme weather conditions in parts of the capital.
