FIFA World Cup 2026: Group H explained

Spain arrive as European champions and among the favourites, but have not progressed beyond the last 16 since winning the World Cup in 2010. Cape Verde, one of the smallest nations ever to qualify, earned automatic qualification ahead of Cameroon. Saudi Arabia, who famously beat Argentina in 2022, are looking to match their 1994 run to the last 16. Uruguay, twice world champions, are eager to bounce back from their group-stage exit in Qatar.
