Israeli forces kill Palestinian man at separation wall while trying to reach work in Israel

Israeli forces shot and killed Imad Shtayyeh, 28, as he attempted to cross the separation wall into Israel to find work, having lost his livelihood after shutting his chicken stall amid the West Bank's collapsing economy. He had five dollars in his pocket. Since October 2023, Israeli authorities have revoked almost all work permits for Palestinians, leaving many with no income. At least 52 Palestinians have been killed attempting to cross the wall in search of employment since then.
