The government has clarified that its approach to the mining sector is based on mutually beneficial partnerships, not nationalisation.

According to the statement, the model allows investors to earn competitive returns while also contributing to local empowerment, value addition, and skills transfer within Ghana's extractive industry.

Officials stressed that this approach should not be misconstrued as a move toward nationalising mines, especially amid ongoing discussions over mining lease renewals and Ghanaian participation in the sector.

The assurance comes as stakeholders continue to debate the future structure of ownership, investment, and value retention in Ghana's mining industry.
