Haiti World Cup player to join teammates after being granted US visa
Woodensky Pierre has finally joined Haiti's World Cup squad after receiving a U.S. visa.
The only player in Haiti's national team who still lives in the country, Pierre left Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, June 2, to join his teammates in Florida.
He was sent off by dozens of Haitian fans who see his journey from the island to the World Cup as a symbol of resilience, hope, and national pride.
