Will EU's new migration proposals work? | Inside Story
"Return hubs" - a new term in the proposed changes to the European Union's migration policy. It refers to a third country where the EU would send people ordered to leave the bloc. If the proposal becomes law, it would add to already adopted measures aiming to tighten the rules allowing people to enter the EU. Human rights groups have rejected the proposal, saying so-called return hubs would be legal black holes. So, how likely are the European Parliament and European Council to pass these regulations? And if they are passed, how will they be enforced?
