The Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana) is urging government to take advantage of Ghana's post-IMF programme period under the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) to strengthen domestic revenue mobilisation.

The Institute argues that building a stronger tax system is essential to reducing fiscal deficits, limiting excessive borrowing, and preventing a return to external bailout programmes.

According to CITG, improving tax compliance and expanding the revenue base will be key to sustaining economic stability and supporting national development goals.
