The College of Health Sciences at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education for persons with disabilities, particularly those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Speaking at a seminar on accessibility and assistive technologies, Jerry John Kponyo highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in breaking communication barriers and improving quality of life.

He noted that emerging technologies can significantly enhance access to education and healthcare for persons with disabilities by improving communication and learning support systems.

The initiative reflects KNUST's broader push toward innovation-driven inclusive education and equal access to opportunities.
