Prof. Gyampo Identifies 3 Key Causes of Xenophobic Attacks in South Africa

CEO of the Ghana Shippers' Authority, Ransford Gyampo, has identified three major factors contributing to the xenophobic attacks witnessed in South Africa: weak leadership, inadequate civic education, and the absence of an effective continental response mechanism.

According to Prof. Gyampo, addressing xenophobia requires stronger leadership, public education on coexistence and African solidarity, as well as a more proactive role from continental institutions in preventing and responding to such incidents.
