Gbetsile Residents Issue 3-Day Ultimatum to Ghana Water Over Water Crisis

Residents of Gbetsile and adjoining communities, including Apolonia and Kakasunanka, are giving Ghana Water Limited a three-day ultimatum to resolve persistent water shortages in the area or face intensified protests.

The residents, who staged a protest on Friday, say water has not flowed through their taps for weeks despite ongoing monthly billing by Ghana Water Limited.

According to them, the situation is severely affecting livelihoods, disrupting businesses and domestic activities, and raising serious public health concerns.

They also allege that the crisis has contributed to the death of a six-year-old child, deepening anger and frustration within the communities.

The residents are demanding immediate action to restore water supply and prevent further escalation of the situation.
