The Minority Caucus in Parliament has criticised the government, accusing it of political dishonesty over what it describes as attempts to reintroduce the E-Levy in a different form.

The caucus argues that recent developments in digital transaction policies suggest a disguised return of the controversial levy, which previously faced widespread public opposition.

Addressing journalists, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and members of the caucus insisted that any such policy must be transparently presented and properly approved by Parliament.

The issue has reignited debate over digital taxation, government revenue measures, and public trust in fiscal policy decisions.
