Separate 'shameful' xenophobic attacks from commercial relationships between Ghana & SA - Ashigbey

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Kenneth Ashigbey, has condemned the xenophobic attacks targeting African nationals, including Ghanaians, in South Africa.

Speaking on Citi Prime News with Adwubi Wiafe Akenteng, he described the attacks as unfortunate and unacceptable.

However, Ing. Ashigbey stressed that Ghana's broader commercial and economic relationships with South Africa should not suffer as a result.

His comments come amid growing concern over attacks on foreign nationals in parts of South Africa and ongoing evacuation efforts involving affected Ghanaians.
