The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that only standard and quality goods are available on the Ghanaian market.

The Authority made this known following the closure of some Chinese mattress manufacturing companies accused of producing substandard products.

Speaking to Channel One News, the Acting Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Standards Authority, Kofi Yeboah Debrah, said the Authority will continue to intensify monitoring and enforcement activities.

He added that the GSA will also pursue prosecution of companies found to be violating standards regulations to protect consumers and ensure fair trade practices in the country.
