Fire has gutted the Monte Carlo Pub at Community 10 in Tema but has since been brought under control by personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service.

Five fire tenders were deployed from Ashaiman, Industrial, Newtown and the Regional Headquarters to contain the blaze. Firefighters and police personnel remain at the scene as investigations continue into the cause of the fire, which is reported to have started between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
