The National Teaching Council says about 42,000 teachers across Ghana's basic and senior high schools are currently teaching without professional qualifications. Following a nationwide survey, the NTC has partnered with five universities to roll out an 18-week fast-track programme to help affected teachers obtain certification and licences.
