The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has successfully dismantled two suspected robbery gangs in separate intelligence-led operations at Krofrom and Mamponteng near Kumasi.

According to Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, one suspect, identified as Muniru Ali, was shot during a gun battle after attempting to flee upon spotting police officers. He was later transported to the Bekwai Government Hospital for treatment.

The operations form part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Police Service to clamp down on criminal activities and improve public safety in the region.
