Palestinian President Abbas to address the UN virtually on Thursday as peace push gathers steam

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will address the UN General Assembly in New York later on Thursday amid growing international support for a Palestinian state. But he will appear only by video link – after Washington blocked his request to attend the debate in person.
