Turkey's opposition wins rerun of Istanbul mayoral vote

In a stunning defeat for Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's party, Istanbul has gone to the opposition for the first time in 25 years. The CHP narrowly won the mayoral race when it was first held in March, but the ruling AK Party forced a rerun citing election irregularities. Now the CHP has widened its lead over the AK Party. Some analysts say this could jeopardise Erdogan's political future.
