New settlements in South Sudan emerge as thousands flee war-torn Sudan and receive emergency aid
New settlements in South Sudan have emerged near the Sudan border as people flee intensified conflict. Over 30,000 refugees are in need of aid, with 1,400 arriving daily. Aid agencies struggle to meet the immense needs, providing essential supplies like food and water. Despite efforts, the demand far exceeds the available resources, causing significant challenges for both the displaced and aid workers.
Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi reports from the Jodah border crossing.
