Asia most disaster-hit region from climate change in 2023

A new UN report on climate change singles out Asia as a region of particular concern. The report by the World Meteorological Organization says that global temperatures hit record HIGHS last year and that warming was happening at an especially rapid pace in Asia. The agency pointed out that many Asian countries experienced their hottest year on record in 2023, along with extreme weather events including floods, heatwaves and fires.
