Prosecution, defense paint competing visions of Trump as trial begins

In opening statements in Donald Trump's hush money trial in New York, the prosecution accused the former president of a criminal conspiracy to cover up a hush money payment to an adult film star, while the defense said there was nothing illegal about what happened.
