Kuwait elections: Second parliamentary vote in less than a year
Voters in Kuwait are preparing to cast their ballots in the second parliamentary election in less than a year. Kuwait is the only Gulf State with an elected assembly that has the power to challenge the unelected government. But disputes between MPs and the cabinet have led to to a political deadlock. Opposition candidates won most of the 50 seats in the previous election - but the constitutional court annulled the result.
